Scuttling on the freezing cold ground as the sun starts to go down, I peer through my window and out the corner of my eye I see a bird.  What's that I gasp, it looks like a Takahe strolling on the pebbles.  The amazing koru represent my mum and myself.  As the sun goes down you can just see something that looks like koru in the bright and colorful sky.  These represent my dad and my sister.

                                                                         

ART!

  For art Mr. Cooper has been teaching us to trace. We all chose a bird to trace around. The bird I chose was the kea.
                                     

Art skills

Yesterday we learnt different art skills. It was really fun! We all got a A3 piece of paper to draw on. We divided the page into eighths so we have lots of space to practice our new skills.Some of the skills we learnt were shading, hatching and lines.

week 2.     term 3.    31.7.2015

In Room 18 we've been learning about similes. For home work we had to practice writing similes.Here are some examples of the similes I wrote.The sun is as slow as a turtle.The kiwi is as soft as a pillow.  

Statistics!

This week we were learning about statistics. Here is my graph that I made while learning about statistics.

Catapult Experience!

Te-Au and I made this catapult in maths. We fired a marshmallow off the top 3 times. It was so fun!      

My Dream Bedroom

This is my dream bedroom. It has a huge chocolate fountain and below it is a chocolate river. There is also a candy cane forest. The grass is edible and the dirt is chocolate flakes. They keep the candy canes growing. There is a candy cane shop. You bury the small candy canes in the chocolate flakes and in seconds huge candy canes spout out of the ground. 

There is a Gnome town in my dream bedroom too. It is beside the fireplace. It sits in silence as the gnomes snuggle in to bed. The fire crackles as the race cars zoom past!

This week I enjoyed doing my slideshow because we got to search for facts about our Pet Express animal.
   
This week I improved on my reading a little bit .

Next week I need to improve on getting my homework done in time.

This week I liked swimming because on hot days it cooled me down.
